GABBY (LITTLE PERSON / open ethnicity/ Character portrayed is Female / 8 – 15 years old. GABBY can pass for 8 years old, but we’ll learn she’s older. An orphan born with dwarfism, she was abandoned overseas by her American mother, and has survived both a natural disaster and a difficult foster-care system. Not surprisingly, she has some behavioral issues. Gabby is the mystery at the heart of our story: is she an evil presence trying to take advantage of her new family, or is something else going on? We need to keep the audience guessing. We’ll eventually learn she’s 15, but has doctored her birth certificate because younger children are more likely to be adopted. In fact, the truth at her heart is simple: she longs for a family, but does not know how to be loved. LEAD ROLE
