Storyline: In Calculated Obsession, the unexpected death of a renowned mathematics professor deeply affects her family. Lauren, her teenage niece, a talented young mathematician herself, is troubled by the thought that foul play was involved. Kristy, a Ph.D. student, enters Lauren’s life as a math tutor, forming a special connection. Meanwhile, Lauren’s mother, Helen, who is also the sister of the deceased, grapples with grief and the intense desire to protect Lauren from their loss’s bitter reality.
