PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Casting “Locomotive.” Logline: A drama short film about Byron “the Soul Surgeon” trying to find fulfillment in adult life after sacrificing his childhood for stardom.

ACTORS & PERFORMERS

Byron “The Soul Surgeon” Williams Jr (Young)
Lead. Male. 12-16
A tremendous funk singer, the young prodigy was set up for success by his father even though he’s now been placed in this adult world. His talent and capabilities feed the family at the expense of one thing he will never get back: his childhood. In a world that is both moving too fast and forcing him to grow up too fast, child Byron resorts to the use of over-the-counter cough medicine to deal with the speed of his life. He uses his love of trains to try to keep his innocence.

Production states: “We have no special requirements for the audition. We will require a parent/guardian. The minor won’t work more than 7 hours a day. We will work the hours toward his schedule. We will do everything necessary to have a safe environment. The film is to educate and prevent drug addiction in the entertainment industry and to avoid abuse toward the young artist.”

He moved his family all through the Rust Belt until realizing the amount of construction work in the South. He settled with his family in Houston, TX.
