Storyline: England, 1571. In a country bitterly divided, Queen Elizabeth I rules with an iron hand, banning Catholicism and establishing herself as head of a new, Protestant Church of England. While devout Catholics practice the faith in secret, risking imprisonment and death, one young aristocrat, the eldest son of England’s wealthiest and most powerful family, struggles to reconcile his duties to God and country. This is the story of Philip Howard.
